Visiting Scientist & Student Housing

Note: Housing is in high demand. Students taking courses at HMSC must contact the Housing Coordinator (telephone 541-867-0203 or email:melody.pfister@oregonstate.edu ) and submit a housing application form.

 

The Center’s on-site housing has a maximum capacity for approximately 100 visitors. There are 16 furnished one-bedroom apartments with full kitchens and bath, each of which sleeps up to four. Two three-bedroom manufactured homes are fully furnished, including laundry facilities, and are handicapped accessible. Four bunkhouse modules each sleep up to eight. Each bunkhouse has its own fully equipped kitchen across the courtyard in the dining hall. Full laundry facilities are available for residents. The dining hall serves as the social center for the housing complex, and the adjacent courtyard has a basketball and volleyball court.

Winton Housing Units

This complex has four furnished apartments in each of the three buildings separated by a laundry room. The Winton units have a fully-equipped kitchen/dining area , living room, study area, bedroom with four bunkbeds and a bathroom.

This building contains four furnished apartments, each consisting of a living room, kitchen with dining area, bedroom with four bunkbeds and bathroom.

The bunkhouse has four large rooms, each with bunk space for 8 and a bathroom. The Dining Room has one furnished kitchen for each of the four rooms and serves as a TV lounge as well.


 

Stand-alone Home Units

There are two manufactured homes that are handicapped accessible and are usually reserved for family or faculty housing. These are three-bedroom furnished units with two bathrooms. They are located just south of the rest of the housing complex.
